Do You Know Origami?

Do You Know How to fold this?

The other day I was trying to show my son how to make a paper airplane, but no matter how hard I tried it just didn’t look like an airplane. Then I tried something simpler, a boat – still no luck. What’s happening here?  OMG I’ve forgotten how to do it! This age thing is definitely taking a toll on me. Oh well that’s what the World Wide Web is for right? I found a few how-to sites and these are some of the better ones out there. Enjoy.

It’s difficult to take great sunset photos. Due to the extreme lighting conditions, the camera will either try to compensate for the bright sun or dark foreground. What you end up is a picture that doesn’t look the way you remember it. Sunset mode works to certain extend but you have to remember to set it. But it doesn’t have to be like that. WikiHow wrote a nice tutorial on how to take great sunset photos and you can read it here (via lifehacker)

How to Photography Children

I often see pictures of children that are taken from too far away or too high above the child’s head. It makes the children look small and insignificant. I don’t remember where I learned this , but I was told to take pictures  of children at their eye level. I think that was one of the most useful photography tips that I’ve learned.  If you want take better pictures of your kids, nieces and nephews, check out this tutorial at  Photographing Children – Composition by Darren Rowse.
